Damn this place is dead. Damn lazy writers… Anyway, an actual new post. It’s down right unbelievable.
Here’s my first attempt at creating an AMV. After going through my music library for hours, I finally found a song that I wanted to use: Mucc - Libra. After listening to it several times in a row, I figured it would go great with Hellsing. I mean if you listen to the slightly melodramatic song, you can just feel the psychotic nature of it all.
In the end, the total work time was about 8 hours. One straight run trying to learn Adobe Premiere Pro for the first time while trying to work out the scenes to the music. Although there a few little things that I would want to change that I only saw after exporting the movie, I thought it came out quite nice for my first attempt. Some of the events and lipsyncing (which wasn’t really in my initial plan) came out perfectly the first time; some of it was just a fluke that it aligned with the music so well. Anyway, here’s the vid off of youtube. I might post the hq version on animemusicvideos.org sometime, but laziness might win over yet again. Comments are welcomed.

Quick Summary:

Alice is betrayed by her subsidiary, Wei Zhi Jun (AKA VI952), who reveals his plot to take over the Chen Long Tang organization himself. With all of the corporate executives eliminated, VI952 then proceeds to get rid of the witnesses, Inspector Kirihara and Saitou. When all seems bleak for the two, Hei comes flying through the window as BK-201, and defeats Wei Zhi Jun in nifty fashion. He then takes the plant crystal that was in Wei’s possession before escaping through the window. As Hei completes his mission by returning the crystal to Huang, he learns that Wei’s corpse disappeared from the morgue, and that his star has not fallen since the fight, suggesting he is still alive.

At the end of the episode, Misaki Kirihara graciously declines the promotion offer, citing that she realized her abilities are still not qualified for the position.

Episode Summary:
Adiane the Elegant retreats back to base after unexpectedly confronting her boss’ daughter, Princess Nia. Using the slight reprieve in battle, the Gurren Brigade interrogate Nia about the Spiral King. However, Nia’s charming naivety and cluelessness has Kittan on the ropes, which quickly turn his attempt at hard-ball around on him. Yoko, Nia, and Simon then have a three-way (discussion, ya’ pervs) outside the ship until they are interrupted again by Adiane’s return. With the green-light from the Spiral King to kill his abandoned daughter, Adiane continues her warpath of revenge. Princess Nia once again steps up to the forefront, delivering a moving speech in defense of her newly made friends, thus winning their respect and adoration.

“The press release confirms that Fullmetal Alchemist’s Seiji Mizushima will be directing Sunrise on the animation. Series script supervisor Yōsuke Kuroda (Honey and Clover, Hellsing video series) will oversee the writing. Loveless and Earthian manga creator Yun Kouga is designing the original characters, which Basilisk’s Michinori Chiba will then adapt for animation.

Plot summary:

New Studio Ghibli Film

On June 4, it was announced by Suzuki Toshio, Studio Ghibli president, that famed director Takahata Isao (Grave of the Fireflies, Lupin III as director; Castle in the Sky, Nausicaä of the Valley of Wind as producer) will be working on a new film. Takahata’s last film as director was in 1999 with My Neighbors the Yamadas. Suzuki explained that Takahata takes such long breaks between films because there “there are not many animators who can realize his ideas”. Source
